Sunosis aka Colin Welsh is a music producer, sound designer, graphic designer and music venue owner living in London.
Colin’s musical career started at the tender age of 14, when he would engage in such anti-social behaviour as re-programming his elder brother’s ZX Spectrum into a primitive sequencer. Such wayward conduct would eventually lead to a degree in fine art and the onset of much more audio-visual mischief, including experiments involving 100 crickets and a 20k sound system, a film examining the effects of sub bass on talcum powder, and a quite frankly bizarre project involving 500 pairs of earphones. A musical maverick, Col naturally progressed into club décor and visuals, eventually organising his own series of techno nights in the Midlands.
He now co-owns Ginglik, West London’s premier suburban beat bunker, which is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of the finest alternative venues in the capital. Fusing some of the city’s premier electronic and underground DJs and musicians with exhibitions, video installations, photography & digital art, with a friendly, pretension-free atmosphere, the club has become a focal point for artists, musicians and general connoisseurs of cool. |
